Obituary of Diane Catherine Diebel

DIANE CATHERINE DIEBEL God welcomed our beautiful angel Diane into His arms. Diane passed unexpectedly on Monday, January 19, 2015 with family by her side. Her grace, positive attitude, and enthusiasm will be profoundly missed. Diane was an inspiration and a role model to every life she touched. She demonstrated love of life through her career and service to others. Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Ruth Krisko, precious niece Alanna Markwart, and parents-in-law John and Tina Diebel, she will be sadly missed by her devoted husband Ken, two loving sons Tyler and Luke, and loyal companion Kieno. Also left to mourn are Diane’s sisters Carol (Jan) Markwart and Marilyn (Bill) Huber, and brothers-in-law Gerald (Kim) Diebel, Gary (Barb) Diebel, sister-in-law Shelly (Joe) Maierhoffer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Although Diane was not interested in recognition or accolades, she successfully wore many hats. She was an inspiration to her children by providing a loving home, guidance, and a supportive ear. Diane was very proud of her husband and sons and their accomplishments both personal and academic. She demonstrated dedication to her faith by being involved in parish ministries including décor, teaching of sacraments, and reading lector at Little Flower Parish. Diane was hard working, ethical, a true leader and mentor. She leaves a legacy of her passion for learning in the field of early childhood education across Regina and the province, that will live on in her students and colleagues forever. Diane was honoured to be a part of the Regina Catholic School team for over 31 years. She had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and always strived to improve the lives of those less fortunate. Memories of Diane will be etched into the hearts of her family and friends forever. Funeral Mass will be held at Little Flower R.C.
