Mrs. Geiszt as I knew her first welcomed me into her lovely and sweet home in Regina in the 1990s. Full of sunshine as was her neatly appointed home, Mrs. Geiszt would arise each morning at 5.30 am to begin her day with chores of housework, cooking and a cold glass of buttermilk, her secret to her strong constitution. She served beautiful and sometimes elaborate meals which were occasionally accompanied by her homemade wine mixed with 7-Up, and which I grew to appreciate. Family was very important to her as was her community. Mrs. Geiszt was always very kind to me and although we never shared any conversation of notable length, she made me feel loved and a part of her family. I recently came across her obituary here and so apologize for sending my condolences years after her passing. I will never forget her. Sincerely, Cynthia Lewis, Prince Edward Island
