To Mary, Brenda and Fiona (and families) On behalf of mum, and our family in England, we were so very sad to hear about the loss of John. Mum has been reminiscing of happy times back on the farm in Dumore, when she and John were younger. She remembers her big brother John with much love and affection. We all remember him as a very gentle and kindly Uncle. We hope that the many happy memories you have of him will help you through the dark days ahead. Our hearts go out to you all at this time. Sending you all our love and sincere condolences at this very sad time. Cassie, Geraldine, Graeme, Donna & family

Uncle John you will be truly missed by us all. You and Lizzie were so good to my Dad who went over to Canada with you, my Mum and Conor and I. I have many great memories of you and we loved having family living so close to us in Edmonton when most of them were in Ireland. You were a great gentle man. RIP Uncle John

To Mary, your siblings and all your families and all the loved ones of Mr. McAlister, I wish to extend my sincere condolences.
The moment I saw the photo of your father I recognized him from all those years ago when you & I went to St. Augustine School & Little Flower Church together. Your father had barely changed in decades. May he be resting in peace.
I hope you all find some peace in memories of happier times when you had both your parents with you.
"May you see God's light on the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark.
May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark.
When times are hard may hardness
Never turn your heart to stone,
May you always remember
when the shadows fall—
You do not walk alone."
With warmest regards old friend, you are in my thoughts and prayers,
Carol

RIP Uncle John. We'll always remember your many trips back home with fondness and a smile. You'll always be sitting outside having a puff on your pipe and drinking a coffee. A very kind and gentle man you'll be sorely missed x.
