Obituary of John McAlister

John McAlister November 16, 1930 - April 5, 2015 John was born in County Down, Northern Ireland and passed away on April 5, 2015 in the Pasqua Hospital, Regina, Saskatchewan at the age of 84 years. John met and married his wife Elizabeth in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Together with their three daughters they immigrated to Canada, permanently settling in Regina in 1971. Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, an infant son at birth, his parents Bernard and Mary, sister Mary Rose and two brothers Richard and James, John is survived by his daughters Mary (Darcy) Boyer, Brenda (Mike) Woolley, Fiona (Wade) Probe, nine grandchildren, Megan, Ciara, Declan, Conor, Paul, Jillian, Daniel, Jacob and Madelyn, sisters Cassie and Anne, brothers Patsy, Henry and Liam, as well as numerous family and friends in Ireland and England. The family would like to thank the staff of Victoria Park Personal Care Community for the care and support provided to John during his residence there. A special thanks also to Dr. Dickson, Dr. Datta and the staff of 4B at the Pasqua Hospital for the care and support they provided to John and his family during his stay there. Funeral Mass will be held at Little Flower R.C. Church, 420 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
