Obituary of Vernal Roger Phoenix

Vernal Roger Phoenix May 15, 1944 – April 23, 2015 Vern was born on the family farm east of Lac Vert to Alvin and Annie Phoenix, Vern is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rita (Pierce); children Janet (Shawn) and Aaron (Carla); grandchildren Parker, Hannah and Karlee; sister Myra (Dwight); one aunt Elna; sisters-in-law Lila and Doris; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son in infancy; parents Alvin and Annie; sister Alvie; brother-in-law Don Bonderud; nephew Doug; father and mother-in-law Bob and Wilma Pierce; brothers-in-law Robert Pierce and Richard Vedress. Funeral service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in memory of Vern, to the Regina Humane Society, Box 3143 Stn Main, Regina, SK S4P 3G7, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8, the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Regina Chapter, 1545C McAra Street, Regina, SK S6N 6H4 or a charity of your choice.
