Norm and Ray, I offer my sincere condolences to you and your family on the loss of Betty. I knew her (and Paul) for many years from a bit of a distance - I am Linda's sister - however, I was always welcomed into the loving arms of your family. Most recently, this happened on Betty's 99th birthday when Linda and I were in Regina moving our Dad into College Park II. It was a lovely time with all of you, having cake and celebrating a wonderful lady who had been gifted with a very long life. All the more time to spread her joy. I know she will be missed terribly, but I hope you find comfort in knowing so many of us have wonderful memories of her. All my best to everyone at this difficult time.

Norm, Janet, Ray, Joanne & families, our deepest sympathy is sent your way. Aunt Betty will be missed but also remembered for the beautiful person she was inside and out. She was one of a kind and we all loved her very much. I feel so fortunate to have spent a little time with her on her 99th birthday. And it was so good to see you, Ray, Janet and Norm :) Our thoughts are with you and we cherish the lovely memories we have of dear Aunt Betty. Love from Linda, Christy and Lauren.

Dear Norm, Jan & family,
Sincere sympathy on the passing of your beloved mother & grandmother. You will miss her so much.
I have such fond memories of Betty when she subbed for us in the "Old Broads Bridge Club." She was just so much fun to be around and had a great sense of humor. I remember one bitterly cold January night when we were driving her home after bridge and she had to roll the window down and stick her head out to cool off. We all had a chuckle...little knowing that some of us would do the same thing a few years later!!
Also....thank you Betty for giving me Paul's piano. Oh that I could produce music as he did!!
Betty had a long and fulfilling life. She touched so many people and influenced so many lives.....what greater gift could you wish for ? All of us who knew her are blessed.
Our thoughts are with you. Condolences to the rest of her family.
Love,
Sharon & Bob

My thoughts and sympathies go out to Norm and Ray and families as they reflect on the extraordinary life of their mom, my Aunt Betty. She was such a bundle of energy and strength and 'old school' grace. I have wonderful memories of family visits in Regina and Estevan when we would all get together. As a child, these visits were something akin to Christmas for me! Aunt Betty and Uncle Paul would often drive down to Estevan in one of their 'cool' cars - I remember a black Karmann Ghia coupe and the lovely blue Corvair. My Mom (Rose) was Betty's sister and always joked about Auntie being a leadfoot when behind the wheel!
What a quick sound mind she had, right up to her 99th year! She was still on the internet sending emails and I am so happy that we had the opportunity to keep updated. We had some very enjoyable phone calls over the past few years and she remembered so many things that I had forgotten...often funny situations that had happened in the past. Her penmanship was still stellar as evidenced by the birthday cards she sent me every year.
Fortunately, Aunt Betty has a wonderful family with which she was able to maintain very close ties. It will be sad for family and her many friends to slowly accept her passing but that sadness will be replaced through the preservation of the many great memories we all have of this truly exceptional woman. I have had and will continue to display a picture of my favourite Aunt on my desk at home alongside a picture of Rose, her sister, my Mom.

I was so sorry to read about the passing of Mrs.Debienne. She was my consultant when I taught at Rosemont so many years ago. I will always be grateful to her for her kindness and suppport when I wanted to leave and how understanding she was. She made it happen with no problem.
Later, I often meet her on the track at the Fieldhouse. although we would have a quick chat, we rarely walked together since I just couldn't keep up with her.
She was an inspiration to all the teachers who's lives she touched. I will always remember her as a lovely, gracious lady.
She will be missed by many.
Warmly
Bev O'Shea

I am sending my deepest condolences on the passing of your Mother. I hadn't had contact with her for a couple years but I used to enjoy our visits on the phone when she would call. She always had such good stories to tell about my Mom and we would always share a lot of laughter during those visits.
Betty was a wonderful, loving lady whose family meant the world to her. She and Paul have a special place in my heart.
I will always remember the good times when your parents and mine would be together. They shared so many years of stories to relive but it was always with positive attitude and lots of laughter.
I will miss her greatly.
