Dear Nelson and Family…..
It was with deep distress when we learned of Claudette’s passing on to a better world. It seemed like only a few days since we had heard that she was not well so it came as quite a shock to us.
Rest assured that “Clo” is now free of all pain and smiling down, guiding your footsteps along all of your remaining journeys until you may all be together again. When you see the sunshine, it is her smile. When you feel the rain on your faces, it is a tear that she is shedding with happy memories!
We feel blessed in the knowledge that she has rejoined loved ones in Heaven and in particular, her mom and dad (Auntie Rose and Uncle Simon were Louis’ Godparents). It definitely was easy to tell where she inherited her good looks, her smile and her laughter from. She was a loving wife, a wonderful mother and grandmother, a great sister, a hard worker and a friend to all who knew her.
“Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
Wishing you hope in the midst of sorrow,
Comfort in the midst of pain.”
We pass on our deepest sympathies to you all and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. Remember….. God only takes the Best!!

Nelson, just want you and your family to know that I am thinking of you. I spoke to Yolande a moment ago and I felt comfort in hearing her compassionate voice.
After all the years that have passed us by, I can say that I've always held fond memories of you. And, I remember Claudette well also, even though at the time - you and I were students at College Mathieu - I never thought I'd hear of you and Claudette getting married.
Our mutual friend, Lucien Pelletier, often spoke of you being probably the fastest skating hockey player we knew of at the time. Lucien passed away a few years ago.
I'll keep in touch, now that I've located you.
Prends soin. Je direr mes prières pour vous ce soir.
Orville Amyotte
P.S. I just happened to read Claudette's obituary in the Saskatoon Star Phoenix
