I was saddened to read of Willard's passing. I worked with Willard around the mid-60's while we were both employed at Sears in their Service and Repair Department. I remember Willard as a very nice, likable, laid back person who was a very knowledgeable TV and electronics technician. A lot of awesome qualities wrapped up in one person. I worked under Willard as an electronics trainee while I took an electronics coarse by mail. Willard was a very patient and skilled teacher. As I think back the 50 years about the people that I worked with at Sears, few names come to mind. I think it says a lot about Willard and his awesome "laid back", "kind" and fun character, as well as his skills as an electronics technician that I remember him. Our paths led us in different directions after my short time in Service and Repair.
