Obituary of Wilhelm Willard Hilderman

WILHELM “WILLARD” HILDERMAN It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Willard on September 20, 2015. Willard was born on a farm near Cymric SK. on February 24, 1933 and grew up on a farm near Duval. He was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Annie Hilderman and brother Ken. Willard is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Miriam; children Doug (Charlyn), David (Julie), Murray (Frances), Randy (Elizabeth), Nathan (Karen), and Jeremy (Jody); eleven grandchildren; sisters Esther Newell (late Bob) and Phyllis Markel (Ray)and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Willard found joy in helping friends, neighbours, and the church repair buildings, appliances, or anything. He enjoyed music, fishing, camping, and watching his kids play sports. Willard retired from a long career at Sears and spent countless hours volunteering in the community. He was an active member at Christ Lutheran Church singing in the choir and serving on council. Willard spent his last years being cared for by the staff at Pioneer Village. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Willard's memory may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or a charity of your choosing.
