Gene and I were saddened by Dale's passing....we bought Dale and Betty's home in 2007. At that time we assured them that it was to be our "home" for a long time. We never knew just how much we inherited until Into late Spring when we would witness Dale's rockwork and Betty's wonderful perennials. We asked them to visit anytime they wished. There were many phone calls between Dale and my husband that first year.....Dale left detailed instructions on most everything but still liked the calls,to make sure we were on the right track!!!
Our most sincere condolences to their family.

I am sorry to hear of Uncle Dale. I have many fond memories of him ... sailing, photography, and the few lunches out that we shared when he would visit Regina ... when I was teaching at Sheldon. He always showed genuine interest in what was going on with my life, as I'm sure he did with many! He always enjoyed Auntie Betty's baking ... and checking her pockets for "treasures"?
Love Joanne

My sincerest condolences to the family on the loss of Dale.
Some of you may remember hearing my name as I worked side-by-side with Dale at the University from 1978 until his retirement. We were good friends as well as co-workers. Dale was one of the most innovative thinkers I ever had the pleasure to meet. Many, many of his ideas and designs were put in place on Campus, much to the aesthetic and financial well-being of the U of S. I recently attended a function that included several of the other "old-timers" from Buildings and Grounds / Physical Plant and during our conversations Dale's name came up. He was both fondly remembered and held in high regard for his exceptional knowledge and strong work ethic.
