Obituary of Dale Franklin Child

DALE FRANKLIN CHILD Dale passed away peacefully on September 25, 2015 in Regina at the age of 88. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Betty; his daughters Sandra Child of Calgary, Donna (Tim) Cheesman of Regina and Joan (Vern) Fior of Saskatoon; his grandson Andrew (Yuki) Cheesman and great granddaughter Haruhi of Japan; granddaughter Kaitland Fior of Saskatoon; his kid sister Maxyne (Phil) Dawson and nephew and nieces Grant, Karen and Charlene. Dale will be remembered as a leading edge heating and ventilation designer who learned many of his skills from his father Frank. He was a creator of intricate landscapes and imaginative basements and a gifted photographer enjoying hand colouring his portraits. Dale was a passionate sailor and spent many memorable times on the water including competing at the first Canada Games. He adored his grandchildren and treasured time spent in their company and encouraged them in the joy of lifelong learning. His quick wit and love of a good laugh will be missed.
