Jeff:
May I offer my condolences to you and your family on the passing of your father. Although I didn't know him well he left a very positive impression on me when he used to come out and watch our softball games ( Cooks's Crawlers as I recall ). He was a really nice guy!! Stay well

My condolences to Holly & Jeff.
It is sad to lose a "long-time" friend like Ted. I have memories of good times over the years. Now, we won't be saying to each other "see you in church".
I am sorry that I am unable to attend the service - I will be thinking about you.
{Old friend of the family"

Our thoughts are with the family.
Ted lived a good life. He enjoyed many things.
We enjoyed talking to him at the Breakfast Club in his early years.
Once again our thoughts are with the family.

Ted was a delightful man and I will miss his presence in the life of our community. I have fond memories of times together , especially with the Wesley Men's Club.
I regret that a conflict will keep me from attending Ted's service, but I will hold the family in prayer. Ted will not be forgotten.

My condolences to you Jeff and your family at the loss of a person who it was a pleasure to able to know and enjoy his company.
I had not seen Ted for a long while due to my inability to get out to socialize due to health restrictions.
Having known Ted through business, Rotary, and K-40, he always was cordial.
I met up with him a few months ago at the dentist office and he remembered me after a bit of discussion which amazed me as I had not seen him for at least 15 years.
The world is now short a really great person who did more for it than ever he asked of it.
I will not be able to attend his funeral due to my restrictions on movement but I will be there in heart and mind.
All the best to you.
Bill Wright

One gentleman who knew Ted (he was residing at The Bentley at the time). He said to me that Ted had cancer. And that he would not be around long. But our dear God had other plans, and Ted was with us till he left The Bentley and that was about a year later or so. I know Ted enjoyed living at The Bentley. I knew there was some days he wasn't feeling well. But never did I hear him complain. I never ever saw Ted Child mad. He just went along his day. His children Jeff and Holly spent many hours with their Dad. Always taking him out. I remember saying to them. Your Dad doesn't seem like the yelling type. They said he was a good dad who never got mad at them. You could tell his children loved him, because they spent a lot of time with him. And he loved them. I have a lot of funny stories on Ted. Like him trying to leave to drive his car in the evening. I thought you weren't suppose to drive at night. He said he left something and he needed it from the car. Well I can go get it. Oh it'll keep till morning he said. Ted said to me once. He was coming in the back door. The wind was so strong he said. That he went flying through the air. He laughed when I said I'm trying to see that in my mind. And him going aah!. Now in heaven he can drive away. Have fun Ted.
