Obituary of Shirley Anne Marie Ciz

On Monday, November 16, 2015, Shirley Ciz (née Taylor), late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully at age 81 with her family by her side. Shirley was born on June 13, 1934, in Regina. She married Bill, a handsome World War II veteran, on May 6, 1967. Shirley worked for Black, Larson, McMillan and Partners until the arrival of her twin daughters. She then devoted her life to caring for her husband and family. Shirley was a wonderful hostess who will be remembered for her welcoming smile, lively spirit and sparkling clean house. She was an expert shopper who could spot the perfect purse and matching shoes from a mile away. Shirley and Bill had an active social life and loved to travel and spend time with friends and family at their Sunset Cove cottage. Shirley is predeceased by her husband Bill, parents Jim and Tillie Taylor, brothers-in-law, Allan Robinson and Clifford Uhren, and sister-in-law Anne Rivney. She will be lovingly remembered by her twin daughters, Lisa and Leslie (Garth Fredrickson) and grandchildren, Cole and Kate; sister Grace Robinson; niece Cheryl (Rick) Feasby and children, Tim (Jessica), Kristin (Ryan) and Amy Feasby; nephew Jamie Robinson (Sandra) and Jamie’s children, Nicole and Andrew; sister-in-law Nettie Uhren; and many nieces and nephews. She will also be fondly remembered by many special family friends. A Memorial Service celebrating Shirley’s life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. A private interment will take place in Riverside Memorial Park.
