We were shocked and saddened to learn about Dave's death. I worked with him at the Universityof Regina Library and attended many parties when he dazzled us with his music and movie knowledge. Our thought are with his family.

Dear Gourlie Family, Our paths crossed frequently at the U of R library or in the halls of the university. I remember Dave as witty and trenchant in his views and unapologetic for his strongly held opinions whether about sports, or politics or the university. I was surprised and saddened to learn of his death. I wish the whole family courage in the face of his passing. Francoise joins me in this expression of our most sincere condolences. Steve Kenny

Dave was a good friend and part of the Rosemont neighbourhood growing up as kids together. We knew Dave as a school friend, and spent many times together discussing music, sports and events of the day. While we have drifted apart over recent years, you never really forget the good memories of childhood and the people who were in your lives at that time.
