I was not aware that Vera had passed on. I am sorry for you loss. She had so much spark and was always a joy to have around. She brought her baking to my Mom and Dad’s Funerals. We were cousins although she was a bit older than us Donison kids. My mom and dad were Nick and Helen Donison, her aunt and uncle.
Take care and God Bless

My deepest sympathy for the loss of your mom. She was a wonderful neighbour and friend to all, I will always remember her love of life and love of a good joke, and that she made the best cottage cheese in the world. My gramma and I made countless batches of Easter bread, perogys, and crepes with her delicious cheese.
She was a legend in her own time and will be missed

I am so sorry to hear that Vera has passed, My Thoughts and Prayers are with you all at this very difficult time. My daughter Ashley and I have many fond memories of Vera and being her neighbor on the farm for 10 years. I was always up for a good visit with more than enough food to feed an army! Not only did she make me laugh with all of her tales but she would also send you home with the leftovers, she truley had a heart of gold and will be missed by many!

We have so many happy memories of Vera from our time in Avonlea. Phil was the pastor of the Avonlea Free Methodist Church (1997 - 2003). Vera often attended our services and was a very important part of our congregation. Her warmth and kindness was always evident to everyone around her. Our three children, Jonathan, Erin and Benjamin, who were quite young at the time, found an adopted Grandma in Vera. Vera had a way of walking into a room and completely changing it, always for the good. She made each one of us feel very special and loved. Vera shared God's love and acceptance with everyone she came in contact with. Vera will be missed but I can't help but think that Heaven is a little more joyful and exciting because of Vera's presence there.
Your family are in our thoughts and prayers at this time.

Dennis, Jennifer & Cheryl,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was one of a kind - I can still hear her voice and see her sitting at the piano banging away at the keys. I have such wonderful memories of visiting 'out west' and spending time on the farm. My prayers are with all of you & with your families. I will be in touch.
Love Janice (Donison) Summers
