Dear Val and family,
Our sincere condolences to you on the loss of Jim. I have so many fond memories of our times together in our early days at IPSCO. Jim was a great co-worker and friend and our HR team had many great times together. I still remember his unwavering stance against country music and his unique and interesting views on the many issues we debated. No surprise that he should leave such a memorable footprint.
Our thoughts are with you all.

Val, Paul, Alex and to the family. My deepest condolences to you all. I have very fond memories of Jim from when I was a young guy. From paintballing and bowling at birthday parties to going for rides in his S.H.O when he bought it years ago and listening to Bob Dylan and Neil Young on those rides. To this day I'm a big fan of Neil Young because of Jim :-). You all are in my thoughts and prayers through this challenging time.

Victoria and I send our deepest condolences to Val and Family. I worked with Jim at the IPSCO Red Deer facility and have many good memories of Jim. In particular our discussions of music, as we are of similar age and had the same appreciation of the bands and musicians of the late 60's and 70's. Victoria new Val while here in Red Deer and sends along her heartfelt thoughts of support.

Val and Family: April and I were very saddened to learn of Jim's passing. He and I spent many hours together working on tough problems and we loved it. Jim's imagination, creativity and intelligence came together to put a permanent stamp on those he touched. His wit and pointed observations were cherished by the teams and always resulted in some great belly laughs. Val, April and I know you have been through much, and we prayt you can find solace in where Jim is now. In paradise with his Dad and many friends. Our blessings to you and your family. Sincerely, David and April Britten, Wexford, PA April 1, 2016

The world lost an unique individual when Jim passed, the world is a little worse off without him. I enjoyed immensely playing golf with Jim both in Regina and at Manitou Beach. I also had the pleasure of being involved in any number of the "spirited" debates on a multitude of issues.
Sorry you had to pass so soon.
