William Shpak

Obituary of William Donald Shpak

William Donald (Don) Shpak, late of Regina, SK, passed away suddenly on June 21, 2016 at the age of 79 years. Predeceased by parents Walter and Helen Shpak; brothers, Johnny (infancy) and Marvin. Don is survived by Mary, his loving wife of 57 years; daughters Shelley (Brent) Kloczko of Regina and Shay (Glenn Ruzicka) Shpak of Regina; grandchildren, Stephanie (Brent Schaeffer) Bruch, Danna Bruch, Tori Gawthrop and Sydney Ruzicka; great-granddaughter, Bailey Schaeffer; sisters Marie (Carl) Tozer of Surrey, BC and Audrey Gerela of Vancouver, BC; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Don was a man of God, a man of steadfast faith, very generous, full of integrity and a superb role model to his family. He loved people, loved cooking for company and welcomed any opportunity to socialize with friends and family. He was always willing to lend a helping hand; he derived happiness from others - the smile on his face would light up a room! In spite of the plethora of females around him (wife, daughters, granddaughters, great-granddaughter, sisters, sisters-in-law,) he was a man's man; he loved hunting and fishing and was admirably known as 'the tool man' to those who knew him. He was well-respected and loved very much. Don will be greatly missed. Service will take place at Celebration Church, 3130 Renfrew Cres. E, Regina, on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Family interment at a later date. Family and friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to Celebration Church or to the Heart and Stroke foundation.
