I used to work with library services at SIAST (Now Saskatchewan Polytechnic/Wascana Campus) and I met Mike a number of times over the years.
As well, I had attended various events in the community and heard Mike speak / he was a very wise man and gentle soul who enjoyed sharing his knowledge with many others. I am sure that he influenced many youth and adults and shared his traditional ceremonial ways.

Your dad/moshum was always a very kind man to all of us "nons" (I mean non First Nations). I could never figure out how one person could be so many places at one time. As well as his kindness to me, he was also generous to my daughters and we all enjoyed his humour and his beautiful smile. May you all be comforted by wonderful memories and trhe presence of each other, and especially the new and beautifuulk m,children and babies amongst you.

My family was pained to hear of Mike's journeying to the other place. He was always available to give advice, do ceremony, and teach us. He would also come into my classroom, set a tipi for the schools I asked him to.
I loved creating Treaty curriculum with him and the team. His knowledge was so impacting on the results we had.
Lastly, when my family needle him he was there. Mike was a dedicated m wise, and compassionate. If I tried to list all he did for my family the list would be long, as a tribute to him I am assuming my real name Mikchael from Doug. He was a visionary, a prophet, a friend, and part of our family.
Thank you for sharing him and I pray the Creator will give him peace, you' ll live forever with the legacy you left Mike.
