Dear Ron, Steve and family, I was deeply sorry (and very surprized) to learn from Lois that Donna had passed away. You, Donna and ‘Stevie’ figure prominently in my memories of the years I lived on Gale Street. Ron – I thought you and Donna were the ‘coolest’ couple and Steve was the easiest baby-sitting ‘job’ I ever had. I can still hear Donna as she arrived at our back door for a cup of tea. There are many more memories and I always smile when I think of that time of our lives. Please accept our heartfelt condolences and may your wonderful memories ease your heartbreak & sorrow. It was indeed a shock to read of Donna's sudden passing in Saturday's Leader Post. We were both just wondering about the two of you last Wednesday as we were heading out of Regina on Pasqua Street North. We realized we hadn't seen or heard from you guys in quite awhile and hoped all was well. While it was a blessing that she went quickly and didn't have to suffer but when there is a loss it is harder for the ones left behind. Ron, Steve, Pam, Elias and Greta, we are deeply saddened by the passing of Donna, it was so sudden with no time for good byes. Our memories of Donna of course center around family gatherings at Pam and Steve’s typically on holidays or celebrations but we also felt a keen linkage through our Schnauzers. Donna loved her mini’s, first Cloe and then Heidi, they were/are such great companions and Heidi will no doubt also miss her greatly. Ron, you have lost a life companion and the road ahead without her will be bumpy but we hope you will find some comfort in all the wonderful memories of the past 59+ years. We are thinking of you today.
