My thoughts are with you all at this time and I wish I could be there to celebrate Aunt Jordy and share love and memories with you, your many relatives and friends.
Jordy was my godmother and I have many fond memories of her being with our family and going to her house over the years. She was always around as I was growing up, dropping in for coffee or working with mom in our garden. I remember spending a weekend with Aunt Jordy at her cabin on Echo Lake one summer when I was about 12 or 13 and being with my first strong female role model who lived on her own and had a great life. She was an independent, opinionated woman with an education, a career, traveled widely and had lots of friends and relatives who she was very close to. She inspired me to not be afraid of doing things on my own. She was always full of interesting stories and so caring and helpful to her siblings and family when they needed her support or expert advice. She kept people connected, always stopping in to visit my grandparents when she passed through Swift Current, and had such a kind heart.
Mom and dad really enjoyed being able to visit Jordy last August with Crystal and her family. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to join in that part of our family road trip but the pictures looked like everyone cherished having that opportunity to see one another again.
Looking forward to hearing more of the stories and memories about this fantastic lady who touched so many people during her long life.
