Hearing of Lily's death brings back so many fond memories of Lily and Art and their many kindnesses to us during our years at Central Lutheran Church. There were particularly those times we had to vacate the parsonage due to flood waters in the Wascana Creek and Art and Lily provided not only a place for us to stay but so many acts of kindness for us and our 4 children. Lily's faithfulness particularly at noon services and Bible Studies comes to mind, as well as during my years with the Canadian Bible Society when she would attend the Teas sponsored by the Women's Auxiliary - I looked forward to seeing her at those events. We might have come to Regina to attend the service on Friday but I did have eye surgery on Tuesday which didn't go as well or easy as my previous one and with the snow that has fallen since then, staying home in Saskatoon seemed more sensible.
