I shared my story On one of your other obituaries already. You're my birth mother. You gave me up for adoption 51 years ago, June 27 Th, 1973. I unsealed my adoption records, and I received them a few months ago. I wish I could’ve met you, and I wish you could have met your four beautiful grandchildren. I wish there were someone I could meet in your family so I could learn more about you. Maybe have some pictures of you and stories of who you were, but I realize that’s not possible since both your parents have passed. You didn't have any siblings. I wish I could’ve been part of your life. You sounded like a beautiful person. Hope you were happy I thought of you all the time and I'm devastated I wont get to met you.
Love your birth daughter, Lisa wood ❤️

I miss Brenda very much. She was the most generous person with her time and her spirit. She always thought the best of people and made sure to mention things to them. As a dancer in our community, she supported and was proud of us all for our growth. I am humbled to have known her.

My deepest condolences Wilma on Brenda's passing. I think about her often - usually with sorrow but sometimes with a happy thought. I think about how she was such a private person yet was delighted to wear her witch's costume to work on Halloween. I enjoyed seeing her perform at belly dance shows and wished I had her courage. And ice cream - she sure loved her ice cream! She had a zest for life and was always interested in trying new things. I'm so sad to lose my friend but I'm glad she is not suffering any more.

Brenda was a fantastic person. We worked together at SAMA. Always positive, always genuine, always gentle, always kind. Brenda always brightened the work day and made coming to work a pleasure. Both of us would startle easy, and when our offices were next to each other, we'd often startle each other followed by hearty laughter. Such sorrow to learn of Brenda's passing. She was a gift to this world and taken far too early. Brenda made the world a better place.

Brenda was a wonderful lady to work with and know. She had such a lively spirit and always seemed to be trying new things- reflexology, belly dancing, creative writing, book clubs. I always wanted to have her courage to be herself unapologetically and try new things with new people. She was so kind, caring and often talked of all her friends and family, her trips to Saskatoon and all her hobbies. A people person to the core, she would always stop to say hi, ask how you were and have a little visit. Sending my deepest condolences to her mom, family and friends.

Wilma, I am sorry for the loss of your daughter Brenda. I knew her as a fellow reflexologist. She was a sweet and gentle soul and very dedicated to her parents. We will miss her at our reflexology meetings.

I am so deeply saddened to hear of Brenda's passing and her battle with cancer. I had shared time with her on many occasions, through the close-knit group of friends she was very much a part of, and will always remember her kind gentleness. A caring person who will not be forgotten.
To Brenda, her family and friends … my thoughts are very much with you.
