On behalf of my entire family we want to extend our thoughts, positive energy and a few hugs to the Rhead family. I will always remember Jayne having such positive energy and warmth. As the years went bye I enjoyed seeing Jayne at the YMCA and catching up with her to discuss her children and grand-kids. Her love and pride was so palpable. Lots of love from the Frohs!

I was sad to hear of Jayne's death. I worked with her at the School Board for 30 years. She had a quick wit and infectious laugh. Over the many years, she helped hundreds of students and their families, always in a very professional and compassionate way. To Walter and family:
In reading the Leader-Post today, we are shocked and saddened to the core to hear of the passing of our wonderful Jayne. We have such great memories of how great a mom she was to all the Rhead children, and husband to Wally, and never was there a dull moment. We were neighbours across the back alley for 20 wonderful years and remember our chats in the back alley - always cheery, and ready to laugh even when chasing cats around the yard or our Duff out of it! We are so, so sorry for your loss. Though it has been three years since we moved, it now all seems just like yesterday as we remember all of you with fondness. I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Jayne. She and I worked together at Lakeview School. She was a loving and caring person. So many students benefited from her dedication to helping them improve. I also had the delightful opportunity to teach two of her wonderful daughters. She will be missed but remembered by many.

I was very saddened to hear of Jayne's death. I worked with Jayne, more commonly known to me as Rhead, for a few years in the Communication Preschool at McVeety School. She was a hard worker and managed to create some fabulous results with many children who had extreme difficulties speaking. I can still hear the rhythm of her cart that carried her vast amount of speech supplies, while she came up the steps and down the hall. Upon entering the room, it was a PSHI chorus of 'Rhead!' very similar to the 'Norm!' welcome from the tv show Cheers, as she entered with her glowing smile on her face.
We often heard of her family...and cats, all of whom she adored dearly. My condolences to her family at this time. It's so hard and not fair that she exited life so soon, but I know you'll have many loving memories of her to cherish, which I hope will help bring comfort to you as you move forward. <3

Jayne was my dear neighbour for several years in Regina and I considered her a dear friend as well. We shared many chats over the fence and in each other's yards as she taught me how to dead head flowers. She was very proud of her beautiful family and home and we shared many laughs. We organized neighbour get togethers and school events. She was always full of life! She will be sadly missed. My heart goes out to all her family and I am saddened to hear about her passing!

When I arrived back in Regina in 1994 and began working as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Regina Public, I had only ever worked in hospitals...treating students in a group (vs patients one on one) was completely foreign to me, and the caseload volumes were overwhelming. Jayne took me under her wing and showed me the ropes. She knew absolutely everyone, and happily embraced the responsibilities of her profession, not only working tirelessly with the 120+ students on her caseload but reaching out daily to parents as well. She was always prepared and organized, enthusiastic and sociable. Jayne was a worthy role model and made it all look easy, which it was not. Gone far too soon. Dear Alex and the Rhead family,
I will always remember your mother's beautiful smiling face as she walked through the halls at Dr. Perry elementary where I attended as a child and always greeted me. Alex and I later became great friends in elementary and high-school where we played church league basketball and on the high school teams. We also played waterpolo together. My mom Jan and her spent many hours together at these games with us girls and over time their friendship grew. Mom and Jayne still met regularly even after us girls grew up and moved away, they kept in touch and stayed connected. I can't imagine the pain your family is feeling during this time and hope that you know the Rondeau family will always be there for yours. We were shocked and saddened to hear of Jayne's passing. When we were neighbours, we marvelled at Jayne's ability to juggle raising five children and keep an immaculate house while working full time. We have fond memories of our years on Angus Street.
