Obituary of Marlene Jean Wilkinson

MARLENE JEAN WILKINSON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marlene on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the age of 76 years after a courageous battle with ALS. She was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Alice Lyon; brother Don (Val) Lyon; and by her birth mother Elsie MacLellan. Marlene is survived by her husband Red; children, Kevin (Caroline) Wilkinson, Wendy (Warren) Pletz, and Kent (Sue) Wilkinson; grandchildren Emily, Liam, Logan, Breanna, Emmett, Kieran, Clara, and Alyss; sister Glenda (Stan) Lofgren; as well as many close family members and friends. Marlene was passionate about nursing and medicine. Her friends and family were often the lucky recipients of spot on advice about just about anything related to medicine, even after she was no longer nursing. Marlene was also very involved in the curling and golfing communities and was an active volunteer in several local organizations. She was loved by many and respected by all.
