Max and Family - I can't believe we are saying good bye to one of my cousins! Kim and I are so happy we were able to spend some time with your Mom and Grandma when we visited Regina in 2015. It was very clear how proud she was of you and the family you and Maria have created. Tell your children stories about your Mom so she will live on in their hearts as well. We will have a moment of silence Saturday at 11:00. Take care.

Dear Max & family. ..we send our love & sympathy to you. It's surely not fair such a beautiful young woman should be taken so soon. I remember meeting her for the first time at my sister's wedding in Ft. Qu'Appelle....she was sitting at the top of the stairs with your Dad & I thought. ....Wow...she's soooo pretty!! We spoke briefly at your wedding & I'm glad for that. I also remember listening to her speak on the radio in a job I thought had nothing to do with education. ..am I wrong? I remember telling my friend who was on the car with me.....Hey!!! I know this woman. ( this would be waaaay back in the early '70's)

I had the privilege of getting to know Monica when we worked together at the Saskatchewan Safety Council. I have many wonderful memories of her, especially her keen sense of humour, infectious laugh and kind heart. Max was always her first priority, and she took great pride and joy in his accomplishments. Max, my deepest condolences to you and your family. I know you will miss her but she will always be with you in your hearts.

I first met Monica around 1980 at the U of R. She sat directly behind me in French class and we were paired off to present our final oral exam together. We aced the exam, and Monica & I quickly became good friends. Over the years, we continued to keep in touch. Monica was a good listener and had a great, dry sense of humour. She was a wonderful mom. Her son Max and grandchildren were the light of her life. Monica's mom was always there to help her out. During Monica's last few months with us, she would refer to Rita as "an angel". I have been very privileged to know Monica and her family. She will be sorely missed.
