As the best friend of my late wife, Suzie was also a good friend of mine for over 15 years. She was always so generous and giving with her time and talents. And I was always so amazed how she handled her condition so gracefully over such a long time. I have also learned much from knowing her, including about some of the great qualities it takes to be a genuinely wonderful person. Suzie, you will be missed very much. Sympathies and condolences to all her family and close friends.

My most sincere sympathy goes out to all of Suzie's family and close friends. I worked with Suzie for many years and she was always a ray of sunshine on a busy or difficult day. She was a real gem of a person, whose optimism and determination in dealing with difficult times was always an inspiration for me. Suzie was always generous and shared her love of baking and crafts with us all. It was a privilege and honour to have known Suzie. Rest in Peace, Suzie.

I first met Suzie through the Regina Mandolin Orchestra(RMO). We had many happy hours together at Wascana Rehab Centre on Saturday mornings, where we had our early morning mandolin lesson, a nice little coffee break, and then our rehearsal with the orchestra. Suzie and I both played second mandolin, and we liked it that way! Didn't really want to be in the spotlight or have all the responsibilities of the first mandolins! Suzie often treated her fellow musicians with her fabulous baking, and she could be counted on to dress as a Christmas elf or get in to Hallowe'en costume to celebrate special occasions. Many of us were lucky enough to receive one of Suzie's custom made music stand coffee cup holders or mandolin case covers. She was a talented and creative seamstress and baker. Suzie had the greatest attitude and joy for life. She was always cheerful, optimistic and so very generous with her time and talents. She was small but mighty, and courageous. As others have said, she did not complain about her medical challenges, or feel sorry for herself. She embraced life and her family and friends. I will miss getting together with her at the lunches and dinners she faithfully organized-she worked so hard to make sure she stayed in touch with her friends. She was one of a kind, and I am so grateful I knew her.
Rest in peace dear Suzie-I will never forget you.

We met each other at the Regina Chinese Alliance Church many years ago. We built up our friendship for many years after we first met!
Suzie, you are my mentor:
You showed me how to love, care and teach our Sunday school and VBS children. Before I met you, I didn't really enjoy spending time with children; they are so noisy, naughty and mishaved.
You showed me through your example how to love and care for these little children as Jesus did. You had a loving manner and children immediately responded to you and loved you.
I learned to teach Sunday School and VBS under your guidance. You influenced my personality here in church which later transferred to my career in working in the schools with children. Suzie, your Big Heart really inspired my personality and my career.
You are my sister in Christ:
Your faith showed me how to trust in Jesus Christ. Even though you had pain due to your illness for many years, I never heard any complaints from you. I never heard you say that you wanted to give up. Suzie, your strong faithfulness really inspired me to trust our Heavenly Father!
You are my secretary:
Your sincerity and friendliness showed me the true meaning of friendship. When I moved back to Regina from Hong Kong after 16 years, our friendship felt like it never changed. 16 years is such a long time but it felt like our friendship never faded. We kept in touch through email; you always kept me updated with what's going on with your life. And I loved to share with you what was happenings with my life in Hong Kong. You helped me in so many ways. Every time I needed to write a paper or letter in English, you were always my proofreading buddy. Suzie, you sincerely influenced my view of what true friendships are!
You are my BFF:
Your loyalty showed me how to trust one another. We loved to chat over the phone once a week. The topic included everything from family, church, work, news to even who were our secret admirers!
Suzie, your loyalty really influenced my journey: past, present and future. Your spirit will be here with me. I will really miss you but I know we will meet again one day in Heaven!
Rest in peace!!

Dear Mrs. Ing and Family
You have my deepest heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Suzie.
She was initially in my grade at Victoria School and then went on to become a lifelong friend to Lydia. I always enjoyed seeing her when we ran into each other and keeping up on all of her ventures through Lydia.
Her smile remains in my memory and her giggles still ring in my ears. She was always a sweet caring person to everyone else, even though she was dealing with challenges of her own. She had a courageous, altruistic soul that God first blessed us all with, and now has taken home to be his sweetest angel.
May you find comfort in the memories of your time together and the peace Suzie has found in heaven.
Ingrid

For some years, I was a small part of Susie's care at the hospital. We would still occasionally bump into each other over time. I'm sure that all people who knew Suzie all felt her love and genuine caring of everyone she met. She made me feel important when she always remembered me. I don't know how she did that when there were so many people involved in her life. The family will already know what an unbelievably special person she was. Never could someone duplicate who she was. I was a receiver of her baking and some of her handmade crafts. She always thought of everyone before herself.
The angel Susie was on earth will now be the angel in heaven. I will miss her. I hope she will continue to bring you calmness and love with all her memories. I was so glad to be a tiny part of her life and will remember her always.
