I was very sorry to read of Barry's death in the Leader Post. My home town is Broadview. The McFaddens were a very important part of my life, even after we moved to Swift Current Georgie and I visited each other often. I always stayed with them. Barry's nickname for me was Suey and he called me that all the time. Our parents were also friends as both our dads worked for the railroad.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I like everyone was very shocked and saddened to hear of Barry's passing. I met Barry when he joined the Supreme Office Products team many years ago and it did not take me long to realize what a gem of a man Barry truly was. Barry was so proud of his family and would often speak about you while he was at work. Barry was always a truly happy go lucky man and always had a smile on his face as he began to tell you one of his many stories. To Elaine and family I know of the heart ache you must be feeling at this time however I would encourage you to think back and remember all the many, many good times you had with Barry over the years and take time to share all the good memories with each other over & over. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very challenging time.

Our hearts go out to the whole family regarding Barry's passing. Barry worked with me at Government House and his friendly, humorous demenour was always something to look forward to everyday. No matter what was happening during the day, we often sing old songs and laugh until our bellies hurt. He was one of the friendliest person I know and always had time for people all over the world who visited Government House as they were in for a real treat listening to Barry's and Government House stories. He will be sadly missed; and the world has lost a very good man. Rest in Peace Barry, Now you can sing and dance with the angels. God Bless you.

My sincere condolences for your loss. Barry always made me smile. Especially each time I came over to visit and asked "How are you, Barry?" and his reply would be "Better now." Well, I bet he is saying that now in the arms of Jesus, and that makes me smile too. Huge hug to each one of you. May God encourage you with His love and His mercy. Love, Nina
