I just heard today about Rod's death. I worked at Midland Doherty way back in the early 80s....Don Rokosh at the helm, with Rod, Arch Little, Dennis Toderash, David Owen and the rookie...me! Christie, as he was known as in the office, was the wily veteran of the crew. Rod never offered unsolicited advice, but was always available should you have a question - I didn't last long in the biz, but I learned very early on that Christie was one of the good guys...he wasn't one for fads or the pennies....he was in control, and didn't get rattled. I recall meeting him and Dale Negreaff (sp?) for a quick coffee every few years after I left the business and always enjoyed his company. My condolences to Rod's family.
