Obituary of Mildred Miazga

JUNE 22, 1929 – JUNE 1, 2017

Millie passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter in 1976; her parents Nicholai and Fedora Kulchysky; brothers and sisters, Stephen, Mary, Anne Higgins, John, Katherine and Walter; parents-in-law, Joseph and Johanna Miazga; sisters and brothers-in-law Audrey Kulchysky, Mike (Mary) Miazga, Mary Miazga, John Miazga, Helen (John) Mateyko, Anna (John) Wolkowski, Jake (Irene) Miazga, Alex Grosh, Rose (Eli) Zalusky, Frank Miazga and Bill Plohr. Millie is survived by her heart’s daughter, Judith; sister Pauline (Adrien) Albinet of Saskatoon; sisters and brothers-in-law John Higgins, Rose Miazga, Mary Grosh, Mary-Liz Miazga, Steve (Lena) Miazga, Kay Plohr and Nick Miazga; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Original members of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Millie and her family were always willing to help whenever called upon. Enjoying her work with Woolworth’s/Woolco, she retired after 35 years and continued baking, gardening, and being an all-round sports fan, especially of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Millie loved her homes and neighbors on Fleury Street and 20th Avenue East and was happy the last two years at College Park II, grateful for the friends she made there and the kindness of the wonderful staff. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved this kind and gentle woman. Funeral Service will be held at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 315 Douglas Avenue East, Regina, SK on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Richard Jasiak, MSF officiating. Interment in Riverside memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined.
