Dearest Dad & Mom & Brent, Merry Christmas in heaven. I sure do miss you all. Jim and I just had a lovely trip to Germany and Austria Dad. You would have loved it. In Munich, Germany you would have been so happy. There are many businesses with the name Gartner. Gartner Plaza, Gartner Theatre, Gartner beer gardens. It was amazing. The food was just great. Today is a day with so many mixed emotions and feelings Poppa that it’s difficult to get these words out that I’m feeling. Dearest Dad, you left us 5 years ago today to join Brent and your parents and siblings in heaven. I love and miss you every day Dad. I’m thinking of all the times we went for a country drive and then would stop in Southey for supper or the many times we went to Agribition and sat and watched the heavy horse pull or the stock dog’s competition. Too little understood,
And we do not sing their praises
As often as we should…
For, somehow, Father seems to be
The man who pays the bills,
While Mother binds up little hurts
And nurses all our ills…
And Father struggles daily
To live up to “HIS IMAGE”
As protector and provider
And “hero or the scrimmage” …
And perhaps that is the reason
We sometimes get the notion,
That Fathers are not subject
To the thing we call emotion,
But if you look inside Dad’s heart,
Where no one else can see
You’ll find he’s sentimental
And as “soft” as he can be…
But he’s so busy every day
In the grueling race of life,
He leaves the sentimental stuff
To his partner and his wife…
But Fathers are just WONDERFUL
In a million different ways,
And they merit loving compliments
And accolade of praise,
For the only reason Dad aspires
To fortune and success
Is to make the family proud of him
And to bring them happiness…
And like OUR HEAVENLY FATHER,
He’s a guardian and a guide,
Someone that we can count on

Jim & I drove to Kenaston to visit all the graves last Sunday. The grass is finally starting to grow nicely. We miss you so very much. Have a wonderful Fathers Day in heaven Dad. Hi Dad, We were just talking and Thinking of you
once again today, reminiscing all the great times
we had together, and one fond memory especially
during this week that usually happens, not being
your Wedding Anniversary, Mom's Birthday, but
one of your favorite events that is not happening this year
due to Covid 19, is the Western Agribition! We
always had so much fun taking you there for
many years to watch the Heavy Horse Pull,
the Mini Ponies, the Cattle show, and the
Dog show...especially when they were
herding the Sheep through the obstacle
course. Then the Exhibits, talking to Vendors
and after all that we would find a place to sit
down and enjoy a Tim Horton's Coffee with you,
and you would always enjoy a loaded
Cheese burger, Onion Rings, and a Sweet
Roll. Lol, your famous Apple Fritter.

Dearest Dad;
On The 2nd Anniversary Of The Day You Went Away.
Today's the anniversary, of the day that I lost you. For a time it felt as though my life had ended too. But loss has taught me many things, and now I face each day with hope and happy memories of you Dad to help me on my way. Though I'm full of sadness that you are no longer here, your influence still guides me, and I feel you near me always.
