Obituary of Douglas Kirk

Doug passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the age of 89 years. He was predeceased by sisters, Margaret and Marion; and brothers, Bob and Jim. Doug is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lois (Delgatty); daughters, Betty Jo Leibel (Brian) of Regina and Margaret Kirk (Glenn) of Calgary and son Robert Kirk (Laureen) of Calgary. He is grandfather to Shane (Wendy), Kyle (Kim), Ryan (Bonnie) and great-grandfather to Avery, Eden, Jonathan, McKenzie, Teagan, Lillian, and Otis. Doug is survived by one sister-in-law Shirley in Nokomis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Doug lived all his life in Saskatchewan. His youth was spent on a farm in Nokomis, as an adult he worked for Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, and for Co-op Implements living in the communities of Venn, Outlook, Prince Albert, Rosetown, and Regina. Doug loved to be with people and to be involved in his community particularly the Regina Highland Curling Club. A Come and Go coffee party to Celebrate Doug’s Life will be held at the Regina Highland Curling Club, 348 Broad Street, Regina, SK on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Come together and enjoy coffee, food, and conversation, all the things that Doug loved to do.
