Our sincere condolences to you all since Helen is no longer with us. We were in the same classes for grades 11 and 12 at Balfour, and most notably Miss Messer's art classes. We were fortunate to each have a fashion design drawing/painting chosen to go on a two year world tour along with dozens of other school artists.
For the past two years, Helen and I have corresponded via email and it was wonderful to catch up on everyone and everything. She was very upfront about her battle(s) with cancer and the impact it was having on her life. Such a strong and courageous woman. Her faith kept her strong. My husband has been going thru several different cancers as well and he admired Helen immensely.
I will miss our newsy emails but I was truly blessed to know Helen again for the past two years.
