I met Fran when she became a resident at Wascana, Ward 3-3, where my husband is a resident. I went into Wascana every day to visit my husband and often talked to Fran who was in the dining room later than most residents. We talked and I became aware of what a busy lady she had been and how much she longed to get back to her condo. I was happy to give her a little help whenever I could - adjust the towel behind her back, turn up the TV, etc.
Unfortunately my health took a downturn at the beginning of Aug.and I have been at home most days so I was unable to go in and talk to her when she became confined to her room. I know she was in a great deal of pain so she is now in a better place. Probably she is starting to organize a choir up above. I have made a donation to the Kidney Foundation in Fran's memory. I hope progress can be made in the prevention and treatment of this terrible disease. Thanks for the happy memories, Fran! My condolences to her family.

Sending all my love and condolences to Frans' entire family.
I may have only known Fran for a short while but, in that short amount of time we became very connected.
It was clear from the start that family was the most cherished aspect of Frans' life. From day one as a new employee and immediately after introductions, Fran began boasting about her loved ones. Where they lived, what they, did and who belonged to who and all the while highlighting her stories by pointing out pictures and greeting cards from said family members.
Fran beamed with pride as she spoke of her children and their accomplishments. She was so proud of all of you.
A huge smile would span across her face and her eyes would light up when sharing about her grandchildren and absolutely adorable great grandchildren.
Having had the opportunity to meet many of her family members, I can see why she was so proud. Your love and support for your mother/mother in-law/grandmother was evident. Such a lovely family with huge hearts and warm smiles. I am so greatful to have had the opportunity to get to know Fran....and all of you.
Fran will always have a special place in my heart.
Take care❤ Janelle
