Obituary of Frances May White

WHITE, Frances “Fran” May

On Monday, September 24, 2018, Frances “Fran” White went home to be with the Lord at the age of 84 years. She was predeceased by her husband Dan White; brothers, Everett and Willis; and sister Bertha. Fran is survived by two daughters, Debby (Ed) Dunbar of Coquitlam, BC and Sandy (Dave) Bailey of Regina; one son Loren (Monica) of Regina; eight grandchildren, Bobby-Jo (Derek), Billie-Jo (John), Austin (Tina), Matt (Chantelle), Scott (Kayla), Chris, Stacy (Josh), and Andrew; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister Marion Rhodes of Claresholm, AB. Fran was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Fran was born May 15, 1934 in Vulcan, AB, where she grew up on a farm, attended school, and met the love of her life, Danny. She was a dedicated mother and wife, who raised her family in Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Regina, and Saskatoon, supporting Dan’s career in construction. Fran spent most of her life looking after her children, running a daycare, and eventually caring for her grandkids. She enjoyed singing with the Regina Philharmonic Chorus, teaching Sunday School, performing in light opera productions, and attending church at the Regina Apostolic Church. A special thank you to the amazing staff on Unit 3-3 at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre and the Renal Dialysis Unit, for the support and compassionate care given to our mom. A private family memorial service will be held. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Kidney Foundation, 1-2217 Hanselman Court, Saskatoon, SK S7L 6A8; the Regina Philharmonic Chorus, P.O. Box 14, Regina, SK S4P 2Z5; or the Regina Apostolic Church, 808 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK S4V 0K6.
