I had the good fortune to join Saskatchewan Wheat Pool during the latter period of Ted's term as President of the then largest Cooperative in the country. I was also lucky to have the opportunity to get to know him during the period of time I worked there and even better was able to keep in touch after we were both gone from the organization. While just knowing Ted was wonderful I also credit him with teaching me all about board governance - just by being able to watch him in action. He was a huge influence on me.
