I got to know Elaine about 5 years ago when my boy started playing hockey with Rydell. The pride she had in watching her grandson was truly evident. She was there for every game and got Rydell to every practise. Your commitment was amazing. I will miss the smile that you always seemed to have Elaine. I really felt devastated when I heard of her passing..I never knew she was sick. I went to high school with her, worked with her at the old TFHQ office,went to Chiefs meetings when she was a Chief, worked again with her at FHQ when we were on FHQ Women's Council with Bev also. Later on..whenever I saw her we always talked and caught up on things we were doing. I had lunch with her at N.gate mall last year. She's gone on her spiritual journey now..I prayed and smudged for her and couldn't help but shed tears..sincere condolences to her family members...we lost a special leader.
