Dear family of Monica
We remember Monica as a member of the Empress Street family. We were her neighbours there. Our brother, Charlie, and her son, Gord, had many adventures together.

I didn't know Monica very well but when I was newer to Harvest City church she welcomed me and other newer people into her home for lunch. I remember that I felt truly welcomed and more connected to to the church because of her kindness. Despite the age difference she was so easy to relate to and thinking of her brings a smile to my face. She was a blessing to me. My heart goes out to her family and friends at this time. Cara

I will always remember Monica's laugh, and I was very sorry to hear of her passing. She set a tone of generosity, openness, and good humour that was infectious to everyone around her.
She was my first work boss (at The BridesMaid!) and set a very high bar as far more a friend and mentor than a boss. She taught me the value of a "one-hander," told wonderful stories, and loved her children and grandchildren. I still remember the story of her grand-daughter and the buds (I'm sure you know who you are).

Dear Margaret and Rus and Kathy and Karl and all the family,
Betty and I were deeply saddened to hear of Monica's passing. The words in the obituary were beautifully stated and provided such a clear picture of what a wonderful person she was and what a positive and loving influence she was on all of you. Our lives have intersected in so many ways with your family and we thank God for all of you and offer our sincere condolences at this time of grieving. I was so sorry to hear about the loss of such an amazing Godly women, with the best laugh and humor that you could ever imagine. I am so glad that I saw here this summer and shared many laughs and memories in regards to my mom who was one of her best friends and she had many best friends.
