Obituary of Thaddeus Thomas Rutkowski

RUTKOWSKI, Thaddeus “Ted” T.

Ted passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Pasqua Hospital at the age of 82 years. He is survived by his daughter Deborah (Daryl) Niekamp; granddaughter Amanda Niekamp of Vancouver; and brother Eric (Delores) Orlesky of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his wife Wasylka 'Lee'; his parents Michael and Rose; as well as his brothers Walter and Wayne Rutkowski. Ted was born in Endeavor, SK, and went to Sturgis Composite High School. He retired from SaskPower in 1993 as a treasury analyst. Ted and Lee enjoyed vacationing in warm locations in the winter to briefly escape winter's cold. They also loved the outdoors and nature. Ted enjoyed archery as a coach and judge, becoming a lifetime member of the Wascana Archery Club. In more recent years, he enjoyed golfing as a member of Flowing Springs Golf Club and philately with the Regina Stamp Club. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of floral tributes, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1738 Quebec Avenue, Unit 26, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9 would be greatly appreciated.
