I have been a colleague of Don for many years in the Department of Rural Development and former department names. His office was across the hallway from my office. He was my golfing buddy from time to time and we had many occasions to socialize with Don and Kay.
I regret that I was not able to visit him in hospital because he was in intensive care. I hoped for his recovery but regrettably that did not happen.
Both my wife and I will miss Don greatly. Our condolences to Kay and family.
