Edna and I became friends when she came to Regina. We both were employed by Imperial Oil Producing and in those days we worked hard and played hard. After I married Doc the gatherings for turkey dinners, sleigh ride parties, etc. for those of us in the Accounting Department (32 people) originated at 2949 Cameron Street.
Doc and I attended Edna and Don’s wedding at the Hotel Saskatchewan and were so lucky to spend many dinner parties at their home in Hillsdale. Fun times were also had at Madge Lake.
Edna was one of a kind: a lovely interesting lady and a lot of fun to be with.
I’ve taken up writing a blog: 78mph.com and have written over 200,000 words. You may find some of my posts interesting. It’s mostly a legacy for my four kids families!
Condolences to Rod,Brent and your families.
