My deepest sympathy to the family of Roxane on her passing.
I didn't know Roxane well but did rent her new condo for a year while she was making the final decision to move from her home. I visited with her after I moved into the condo and she had so many memories tied to the house and that wonderful pool she just wasn't ready to let go of.
It is a surprising story of how I came to rent the condo as I was to view it for possible purchase. I was in Saskatoon at a meeting and when I got back to Regina in the afternoon to view the condo, my real estate agent told me that an offer had come in that afternoon and it looked like it was sold. I viewed the condo and really liked it and said I would put in an offer if the sale fell through. It didn't and Roxane was the new owner. A couple weeks later at work I was talking to a person and told them I was looking for rental accommodations as the condo I had purchased had construction delays and I had already sold my house. She said her real estate friend was looking to rent a condo for one year and put me in touch with the agent. Imagine my surprise when the condo she was trying to rent was the very condo I had considered buying and which Roxane owned.
It was a wonderful year living in Roxane's unique condo. She was a great landlord and we had some visits along the way. I visited her after she moved into the place and she so very proudly showed me the improvements she had made. Even though it had been hard to give up her house she was so happy to have just a wonderful space with some old friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was a very engaging person who seemed interested in all life had to offer. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

I was sad to read of Roxane's passing. She was a close friend of my mother, Betty Thatcher, and I remember visiting with her and Murray often over the years at different gatherings. She had such a beautiful smile and laugh, and a fun sense of humour. My memories are of her cheerful, outgoing, genuine personality. I know that she was very proud of her family, and you will all miss her. No time on Earth is ever enough to spend with someone we love so dearly. God Bless you as you face this loss of a classy, kind lady.

Dear kids.
Such a shock to hear of your Moms sudden passing. As I read in the obituary it was in her sleep so that must be comforting for you.
Roxane and Murray were dear friends of ours for over sixty years and we had lots of fun times together like Grey Cup,parties for all those years.
Your Mom was a wonderful person and you will miss her so much. You kids were so close to her and she was so loved.and she loved you all
