Dear Neil, Donna, Billy and Jimmy:
Not a day has gone by since we learned of Ina's passing that her name hasn't come up in conversation. We have so many wonderful memories of both Jim and Ina from our time together on Pine (Gooderham) Lake. We'll never forget the day that Jim windsurfed up alongside my little sailboat and hollered, "That looks like fun!!" I replied, "Well, how about we trade for a while?" That day was the start of a wonderful friendship.
Every year, we'd look forward to the time in May when the Scotts would arrive to open their cottage for the summer season. There were many delicious meals shared together. Try as I might to replicate Ina's fantastic coleslaw, I never managed to equal hers.
To this day, we can still visualize Ina dancing on a little table in the Rishworth's cottage as we all celebrated the 40th wedding anniversary of Ina and Jim. What a truly wonderful couple they were.
We still also hear Ina's voice, clear as a bell, saying "OH, Jim!!" with a mix of affection and exasperation as Jim would launch off on one of his oft-repeated stories. The truth is that none of us ever tired of hearing those stories.
Our lives were enriched by having known Ina and Jim. They won't be forgotten as we continue to talk about their kindness, their friendliness, and fun-loving spirits. Rest in peace.

I was sad to learn of Ina's passing but am in awe of the life she lived. I knew Ina since I was a young boy as my parents Allan and Diane had a cottage just a few doors down from them on Pine Lake. Even after my parents sold their cottage, they remained friends.I have fond memories of visiting their cottage, playing cards and trying on hats from Jim & Ina's wall of hats. Also, eating my fill of After 8 mints and whatever delicious cookies Ina happened to have baked either at Pine lake or her Stoney Creek house. I will always remember Ina as someone who wasn't afraid to call baloney when she saw it especially with Jim! She was strong, intelligent determined yet also kind and loving. My condolences to Neil and all her family.

Neil, Donna, Jimmy, Billy -
Heartfelt condolences. Ina has been a wonderful friend for more than 40 years. As neighbours on Pine Lake, Ina & Jim we’re very welcoming and always ready to socialize with BBQs, dinners, euchre, dancing to “Elvira”. Waterskiing and windsurfing were also big favourites with Jim and others on the lake with Ina on shore critiquing our styles. Pine Lake has definitely not been the same without them.
More recently we have enjoyed visits with Ina & family as we pass through Regina en route to Calgary. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.

Neil, you may not remember me but might remember my husband, Dick Maxwell, your father's cousin. . I saw Ina's obituary in our Spectator this morning, and wanted to express my sympathy for your loss. She was a great lady, and I have always been sorry that we lost track of Ina when she moved to Saskatchewan. I know you will always have good memories of your mother , and that she will be in your heart forever.

Neil, Donna & family.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Neil, your mother was a wonderful woman - warm & kind & smart & funny.
I have great memories spending time at your family cottage and at your home in Stoney Creek where Ina would treat us to one of her roast beef dinners.
She will be missed but not forgotten.

Ina was a wonderful person. Everyone who got to know her, have good memories and many stories to share. She was a great grandmother to our children. We were blessed to have her in Regina, near us for the last 10 plus years.
Grandma you will be missed. Thanks for the good memories.
