Obituary of Peter Charles

Peter, late of Regina, SK. passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 24, 2019 at the age of 78.  He was born in Dumas, SK., attended school in Wawota. SK and attended teacher's college in Winnipeg MB.   At only 18 years old, he began his teaching career in Virden, MB and went on to teach in Carlyle, Inuvik, Yellowknife, Balgonie and Regina ending a 38 year teaching legacy at Campbell Collegiate in Regina. Despite the many teaching jobs, summers spent at Kenosee Lake were always a constant. It was there where friends and family gathered, kids were raised, memories were made! He loved to work and loved interacting with others. Jobs included a postal worker, a cook, the Mayor, Director of a French camp, selling furnace cleaning, greenhouse sales and most recently, owner/manager at WP Inside. He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Antoinette Charles. He is survived by his two sisters, Mimi Bleich and Louise Lamontagne; his former wife of 36 years, Gail; their four children, Danielle Tolson (Graeme) of Scottsdale, AZ,  Deanne Stawarz (Patrick) of Regina, SK,  Jana Toth (Douglas) of Regina, SK and Jarad Charles of Calgary, AB; and Poppa's greatest joy, eleven grandchildren, Ben, Hannah, Sophie, Will , Sam, Joe, Thomas, Rachael, Tomina, Tatum and Piper.  He loved to dance with them, play games with them and was a constant tease! He was loved and adored and will be deeply missed! We will celebrate his life with a Memorial Service at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
