I am sorry to hear about Philip's passing. He was a kind and gentle man who really loved his daughter. I taught Heather when she was in grade four, and I became friends with both of her parents. (Since we all shared a Welsh heritage, we shared a special bond.) Over the years, we lost touch but would bump into each other at the grocery store where we shared what was happening in our lives. I will always remember what wonderful parents they both were, how much they loved, how much they cared and how kind they were to all. Philip was a sweet, good man and I know he will be missed by all he touched in his life. Lynn Fluter

There are people in this world who come and go out of our lives, there are some who you never forget.
Uncle Phil is one of those people you never forget.
As a friend of Shelly's, Uncle Phil's name was spoken many times.
Whether it was in a good banter with Shelly, or a discussion on the movie Fargo, which he and I shared a fierce likeness for, Uncle Phil even bought me a copy to enjoy for years to come.
Shelly has since moved away, and I heard Uncle Phil's name mentioned less often, but always smiled at the many passionate Facebook post, or a Facebook banter that would ensue with a total stranger, all in the name of defending injustices of the world, proving a point, or to prove Uncle Phil was right. (the mouse bladder banter with Shelly on fb comes to mind)
The world is a little quieter today, Facebook is a little less enjoyable.
When we lose someone with such passion and love for life, we all feel the loss just a little deeper.
My deepest sympathy to Aunty Lindsay, Heather and family. The empty space in your hearts and lives will only be filled by the love for your husband, father, grandfather.
My friend Shelly,(and family) Mr. and Mrs Gliddon, the love you have for Uncle Phil is a true testament to the family bond, strength and love you all share.
This strength will carry you through the hard times, and the love will continue to grow, your family bond will strength as the wonderful memories of Uncle Phil will always be there.
Sending much love to you .
