My sincere condolence with the passing of Herb. Herb became a good friend of mine through George, they had a long standing friendship and George maintained that Herb was the most reliable person he knew.. We spent many evenings together and he taught us the secrets of crib. He told us he used to play crib with his siblings and the loser had to do the chores! He also knitted a beautiful scarf for me which I will treasure even more now, We will miss him so much.

We are so sad to learn that Herb has passed away. He was a big part of our growing up years, and beyond. He and I sang in the Brora Church choir; in choirs at Martin Collegiate, and in the Patchwork Choristers after that. He was always enjoyable company, when he just "popped in" for a surprise visit, or when we were in Regina and he joined us for breakfast/brunch and a catch up. We going to miss that so much. Our sincere sympathy to all his immediate family and to his many friends.

Herb was one of the kindest and gentlest people. We sang with him in The Patchwork Choristers under the direction Merle Parsons and he always had a smile for everyone. We had so much fun together in choir and at parties, including one memorable party at his farm.
Over the years we would meet up with him at Brora and Lumsden and always picked up where we left off. We shall miss him so much.
