I just learned of Pat’s passing. I was so sorry to hear this! I met Pat in the kitchen at the Government House. We both were volunteers. It didn’t matter to her that I was a stranger. She made me feel welcome and comfortable from the get go. She was so friendly and outgoing. She had a fantastically wonderful hearty laugh! She always made sure I had eaten a scone and a bowl of soup sometime during my volunteer shift. She was so talented with her crafts. She comforted me when I lost my dad - having me over for tea and cake. Pat was easy to like. I will miss her. My condolences to Slaw and family.

Slaw & family,
We are so sad to hear of Pat’s passing. Our time together in the Government House kitchen & in our own kitchen (where she taught me to get the most out of my Bosch machine to make delicious bread with her own ground flour), as well as at Blood Services were very happy & treasured times. Pat’s smile, laughter & warm spirit will be deeply missed by us both.

To the Sowiak family my condolences at the loss of your loved one. Pat was one of the first OR nurse I worked with. I was a young, nervous nurse and Pat was so kind all the time. I learned so much from her, she was an amazing nurse and a wonderful person.

To the Sowiak and Spriggs Family; We were saddened to hear of Pat’s death. She was always a happy, compatible person, always enjoyed a visit whenever we met. She nursed our baby daughter the night that we lost her. She was so kind and caring. I was honoured to be able to call her a friend.

Dear Slaw and family- I am so very sorry to hear about Pat.I know you'll all feel a big hole in your lives for a long while.I have found the best way to fill that in is to think of her often, laugh about the funny stuff, keep on loving one another as she would and talk about all the times she spent with you all.
We were nurses and govt house tea workers for a number of years-she was funny,a loyal and a hard worker, interesting, always learning and I will remember her very often.
May God bless you all and help you thru the next while.Pat will be missed but not forgotten.

To Slaw and family,
I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Pat. I was very surprised to hear the news. I knew her for many, many years working at Government House; and her laughter and sense of humour was very catching. She always had something nice to say to me and others around her. We cabits about many things and teased each other often. I will sorrily miss her homemade butter tarts and cucumber sandwiches which she made especially for me during the Victorian Teas. Her presence filled the room with kindness and compassion. It was such a delight to see her at Wascana Hospital when you brought her there. Although she wasn't sure where she was, she lit up when she saw me and gave me a big hug, and said she has no butter tarts today. I will surely miss her.
May the Lord grant you and your family His peace during this time. God Bless you.
