Patricia passed away surrounded with the love of her family on Saturday, September 28, 2019 in Regina. She was born on November 21, 1941 to Marguerite and Ted Spriggs in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, the oldest of three children. Patricia studied nursing in Calgary, became an R.N. then returned home to Moose Jaw to marry Slaw Sowiak. They shared their lives together in Regina, building a home and raising their son and daughter. Patricia is survived by her husband Slaw; son Michael; daughter Christine and son-in-law Dr. Brian Rusted; brother Paul Spriggs and sister-in-law Joanne; niece Katie Spriggs; nephew Chet and Chet’s daughter Karma; and niece Kobie Spriggs. She was preceded in death by both parents; brother Robert; and nephews Todd and Jason. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held in remembrance of Patricia at Holy Rosary Cathedral, 3125 13^th Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. 

Patricia’s family declines any flowers, asking only that you remember her boundless energy, her love of people, and the sound of her laughter.
