To Ron and family, and the Machin family. Our deepest condolences on your sad loss. Diane was my earliest childhood and family friend. Diane's grandparents were my father's teachers, and Diane and I were schoolgirls together in a one-room school. Our farming families had much interconnection, and it was a great joy to visit Diane again two years ago and share many memories. Although Diane was struggling with words at that time, her modest, generous character was touchingly intact, as was her witty sense of humour. Such a wonderful family.
