Our friendship began as neighborhood children playing in the field behind our homes before we began attending Plenty School. Shirley's friendship always followed me South to Swift Current and to Alberta and B.C. where she brought her warmth, encouraging style and a loyal friend even to our FB pages knowing changes are hard. I asked her, " How did you find me? I searched," Shirkey replied. I will miss you so much., My blessings are shared to you Stuart and your three now grown children. Our memories have taken us many places. Shirley's loss is a great sorrow, Maureen (Jacklin) Armstrong

Our sympathy to you and your family Stuart. My school day memories of Shirley are of a classmate who was fun-loving, caring and upbeat. Her house was a busy place where you were always welcome. Her illness was a struggle but she met it head on, and never lost her sense of humor. Take care - we are thinking of you. Dennis and Kim Swan

Our deepest sympathy to you Stuart and your family. I never really new Shirley until meeting her in Indio. I enjoyed her company, she always had a smile and some humour to cheer me up. I know she will be missed by you and family, but you have memories to keep her alive in your heart forever. She is now at peace! May God be with you in your time of sorrow.
