I would like to take a moment to pass on my condolences to Jim's family and friends. I met Jim when I was trying to get hired by Jim at Moose Mountain. He had decided to hire me, and then I decided I want only part time as I had decided to go back to school in the fall. He told me that Dale at Connoisseur Tours was looking for a part time driver, so I went there and got the job. Jim was amazing that way. If he could help you in any way he would. After Al Hertz bought the company I was working for,, Connoisseur Tours, Jim was brought over and became our general manager, so I got to work with Jim for a few years as I never did go back to school as I loved the bus industry.
Jim was the best boss, person I have ever work for, and with. He was always there to help me and talk with me with anything I needed or was going through. I have missed Jim for years as I felt I could never go back to the industry and have a visit with him. ( I was not fired LOL) I did send an email to the company a few years ago to Jim as I wanted him to know what a great man, a great boss, and a great person I thought he was, but never heard back so I don't know if he got it. RIP Jim. you will be missed by myself and many.

Jim was the most loving and devoted Grampy to his only granddaughter Taya and a wonderful friend and father in law. This photo was one of the best days the “boys” had at the creek at Curtis’ property in BC.
Rest In Peace Jim. We love you. Shelley, Taya and Dawn

Will always remember holiday dinners, cribbage, and the “discussions” that occurred. The sense of security we had as kids was amazing.

I’m so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing! He was such a kind and caring man! I know how much my husband, John, enjoyed his company and hearing all the stories from the good old bus days. He really looked up to Jim! I’m sure John picked him up in a bus and is giving Jim a tour of heaven. My heartfelt condolences go out to you Bernice and the whole family!
